Congratulations to the 2010 Hurt in the Dirt Finishers!  It was an amazing inaugural year that left the athlete field raving!  The only clean thing on many of the participants was their shining white smile and it was said of the event that "We'll never get that toothpaste back into the tube"! 

The course was true to it's name but the beautiful skies surrounding Fort Buenaventura smiled on the event with an hour long double rainbow that lifted the spirits of participants and spectators alike.  Although there was MUCH carnage left on the course that day it was said of the volunteers "I just have to say, I have participated in a lot of events as a racer, a volunteer and a spectator...and the volunteers tonight at the Hurt and the Dirt race were AMAZING! They saved me! They were upbeat and encouraging (even on my 4th lap around!) and THEN... after the race when I thanked them... they were hugging me ...and telling me what I good job I did! :) Loved the race and LOVED those people!".

Thank you to the volunteers that worked tirelessly on the course and during the event to knock this thing out of the park!  And again, congratulations to all of the finishers of the inaugural Hurt in the Dirt!
